k10 that is a good book I have that one in my library, some of the tools you can make yourself, front pump puller, 2-3" bolts with the same threads as the valve body with the hex head cutoff works to help guide the valve body gaskets plate, and valve body into place, same guide bolts can be used to set the front pump into place

for a pump puller I have a slide hammer with a bolt that threads into the pump itself, if you look closely there will be 2 threaded holes in the pump, at 11 and 4 o'clock if memory serves me right,

correct snap ring pliers make it nice, snapon 350 snap ring pliers, I think blue point makes a pair too, search it online, myself I have used an ice pick and screwdriver on the snap rings,

please do not try to remove the snap rings out of the piston without it being compressed,
