That, and you only have to register every 5 years, unless you register in the last year of the cycle like I just did, so mine is only good until next year, but if I keep the Antique plate, it will be good for the next 5 years after that.
However, for me, like I mentioned below, getting it registered Antique is only a stop gap to get it Texas legal until I can fix the high beams, license plate light, and horn, then I'll get it inspected and tagged as Classic.
I don't have an old bike, but all they've checked on mine is that my lights and brakes work. I can't recall if they even checked my horn and turn signals... But my bike is an '03, not a '43.
