I assume you mean single rear wheel and dual rear wheel.
In which case I'd say not necessarily. May depend on the year though, but I've seen many 14 bolt floaters under original dual rear wheel 1 tons.
I recently robbed a rear sway bar setup from a dually for my 79 1 ton single, both have 14 bolts in them.
