The bracket you used is the same one that came with my "kit".. However, I couldn't use that stock single diaphragm booster with that bracket, as it interfered with hood closure..

The bracket linkage increases the amount of rod travel at the booster in relation to a given amount of pedal travel.. Couple this feature with the fact that the purpose of a booster is to decrease the amount of pedal "pressure" needed to stop and you have a more sensitive pedal feel..

What you are experiencing is normal brake action.. Just drive carefully as you get used to the more sensitive pedal feel....
