OK have you done anything with the coil ? make sure the black ground wire of connected to he metal srip under the coil cover, second , Im not sure what paste they include , but heat to radio shack or any electronics store and get a small tube of Heat transfer paste , NOT the clear dielectric grease and only apply a thin layer after cleaning all the old stuff off the dist. This paste allows heat from the module to transfer to the Dist. body and dissipate . make sure you are not exceeding 14volts at the cap , and are getting over 12 volts. Underpowering is as bad as over powering.
