Yes, It will work. Non LS 4L80E's don't have the top center bellhousing bolt.

Different programming for sure, A LQ9/4L65E from a Cadillac Escalade will have different tuning than a LQ9/4L65E from a Silverado SS, Any 60/65/70 will need to be BUILT to handle a modified engine & or tuning.
