Original mufflers worth saving?

Mostly sure these are original. A tailpipe broke off one of these, maybe 15 years ago. The guy who welded a new one on said the pipe on the muffler had worn thin. I think that was the message, anyway. Multiple choice :

A. Throw them away with the pipes.

B. Save the mufflers because?

C. Save the mufflers just to have them, knowing they'll never be used and storage is at a premium.

Curious what's loose in the mufflers. Seems similar a ball valve, but I'm probably way off.

Much of the info. applies to all 67-72 GM trucks, and to a lessor degree all 67-72 GM vehicles. My build thread, and more on the guide https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...d.php?t=730025
