I bought a 350/290 from JEGS for $2347.08 delivered with intake, exhaust and water pump gaskets. I already had my 4bbl intake and Q-jet. I am putting it in today. That's not double the $2000 but does require getting a carb and intake. Plus, there is no rebuild labor other that installing the intake, carb water pump and exhaust manifolds.
