Christ i might just finish this thing some day! I have a couple more wire connections to make on the engine (electric choke, and T-stat) and I can fire this dam thing up! That will be my next goal. Fire up the ole 292 and check for problems befor I start bolting the reat of the body together. |
Just a note to let you know that I found a problem with the knuckle set screw on the steering column to "D" shaft kept coming loose.
After I tightened it up for the second time I removed the knuckle and the set screw and found that the screw was tight BUT it was not threaded all the way to the bottom and would not tighten on the column shaft.
I don't know if you have had any trouble or maybe my stuff from Scotts was a "bad" part. but it may be worth checking before it comes lose
