Sure. 292's flywheel is the 11'' model, just like an SBC. I heard in '72 MY, they even went to a 12'' flywheel, but I'm not sure that's needed. If you have an 11 clutch pressure plate, you don't need a 12''.
Santucci's book lists the crank end bolt holes as six in 1/2-20 UNF, and the three dowel pin holes to be reamed to .4520 - .4527''.
L25 MY '67 and later did have the half inch bolts. [L25 is the 292 L6's SPID code.]
I'd be more worried that the new replacement flywheel wasn't made in the USA to proper industrial tolerances, than I would worry about real Detroit steel of the right vintage.
