Emblem Restore

So I saw this done on a squarebody emblem a couple of years ago and finally got around to trying it on mine. It worked much better than I thought. Should last a lot longer than paint.

I had a set of 66 badges from the Junkyard for wall art so I tried the process on them first.

I cleaned it with steel wool first. Here is the resin I used. Bought it at Hobby Lobby.

You mix the two equal parts until there is not more swirls.

I originally was going to use ink from the sharpie pen. But I couldn't get it to release any ink and sense I already had the resin mixed I grab the spray paint I used on my wheels and used that instead.

It self levels. So I make sure you have it on a level surface while it dries.

Cleaning my 64' emblems I notice one of them still had flashing from where it came off from plating.
