Unless you're making north of 350hp, gains with headers wouldn't be realized. And the extra effort just for the sound of headers isn't worth it, IMO. The headaches of leaking gaskets and fasteners coming loose constantly are another negative.
I'll reiterate the corvette ram horns will flow plenty for a stock-ish Chevy small block, as there are a few flow comparisons over the years by different magazine writers. PLUS, they're relatively cheap, and can be installed in under a six-pack worth of time.
