Thanks Bomp and Mike. Yes, I will definitely be test fitting the door and fender before welding to make sure it lines up and fits properly. The main thing I was wondering about was whether 1/4 inch gap is too small for the weather stripping to fit properly (I don't have a piece of the weather stripping on hand to test it with).
