Yes, I read that in Leo Santucci's book. I'm running the engine serial at www.inliners.org to see if it really is a '63. It has the earlier oilpan w/ many bolts to the timing gear cover, and is a wierd green-blue. [Robin's Egg Blue?] unlike the '67 and later which are Chevy Orange.
FIII6PG is stamped on the distributor pad.
