1990 MANUAL 4x4 Scottsdale K1500 (New motor) - $3050 (North Bend, WA)
Want a truck that gives you a ‘Merica boner every time you hear that V8 sing? Do you like it when the throw from 1st
to 2nd gear is longer than America’s military presence in the Middle East? Do you wanna eat Dodges and **** Fords?
Do you like tires that are 1/3 the value of the vehicle they’re on?
This truck is for you!
I have a 1990 chev-ro-lay k1500 Scottsdale with...wait for it...a new 350 (not a 4.3, not a 305, a THREE FIFTY) small
block v8. For those of you who don’t know, that’s a spark plug for every honey you can fit in the (admittedly smaller)
stepside bed. It was professionally swapped by a mechanic in ellensburg and although I do not have receipts you are
free to contact the mechanic yourself. What’s more, the motor is paired to a NV3500 5 speed manual, giving this truck
a spectacular fuel economy of 16/17 mpg but if you drive it like the damn patriot you are you’re probably not getting
anywhere near that.
It’s 4x4 with auto locking hubs and it works PHENOMENAL and was extremely handy when north bend got 3 feet of
snow this past winter.
It’s sitting on 33 inch Goodyear duratrac all terrains with classic centerline wheels. Lift is stock although I had to crank the torsion bars a little bit to
clear the meatier tires. Tires alone are worth a grand.
I paid 2700 for it 2 years ago, put a grand into it if not a little more and found my dream project and need that mulah ASAP.
Pros:
-new shocks (front and rear)
-new control arms
-new brakes; pads, calipers, rotors, wheel bearings in the front.
-new pcv valve and air cleaner
-new fluids in ALL boxes and oil change about 2 weeks ago with 10W-30
-Straight pipe with one single cherry bomb
-85% tires in rear. 90% in the front.
-aftermarket LED headlights.
-motor has less than 90K on it
-tranny shifts smooth, all gearboxes are quiet and work well, 4WD works perfectly
-interior is mint w one tear in driver bench seat
-rust free frame, was an eastern WA truck for most of its life
-rare combo of SWB, manual, 350, stepside

"NV3500 5 speed manual" Produced in '92, so that would be a 5LM60...
I bought this one!
