I guess this debate is just like Ford vs Chevy, Canon Vs Nikon, Schwinn Vs. Huffy, the list goes on. For me the fender or bed rail mount is the best option. It has nothing to do with looks but more to do with ease of use. I'm short, I'm fat I'm old. Leaning over a tailgate or fender to get gas into a bed mount is too much work for me. Heck I can't even lean over to get the bag of dog food out of my truck without opening the tail gate. Also if I have a brain fart and spill some fuel I prefer it to be on the concrete at the gas station than in the back of my truck.
All only my opinion and worth every penny you paid for it.
