thanks doug, it has been a lot of work! built in 55 and untouched till we moved in in 10.

there isnt a wrong year, 2wd s10s were mostly the same 82-02. that does looks like a shortbed, but its easy as heck to make a shortbed longer just by moving the front leaf perch back and flipping the rear section of the frame. you cut that pat off anyway so you arent losing anything really, and moving the perch back lowers the rear about an inch! with the wheels and tires I would say thats a pretty good deal. dont worry about mussing the paint up because you need to cut all those brackets off and take a chunk out of the torque boxes anyway.

see if you can get the bench seat too! cut the headrests off and it fits these cabs perfectly
