How are they different from the originals? Pics would help.

First suggestion, Measure the exact length of the old ones. Then, when you install the new ones, screw them on so that you again have that exact same length. This helps attempt at staying close to the same alignment you started with.

Second suggestion. Use tie rod end removing tool. IF you do not have one, rent one from the parts store. AutoZone and O'Reilly's both rent them. Make sure it is the correct size. There are about three sizes and you don't want one for ball joints if you are doing tie rods.
