I wonder if some of your mega squirt problems were related to the low volt at idle the 10SI was giving you. I swapped to a 78A 12SI to fix the dimming issue at idle when I was running the AC, wipers, max fan for defrost and lights. From what I have read, a 12SI has about 7amp more at idle then the 10SI and the output comes on quicker as the rpms climb. Didn't need a higher max output for my mostly stock electrical system but the brighter lights during low speed around town driving are nice.
