I stuck that in my truck file and let the computer figure out the "best" converter and shift points:

3,900lbs with a 55/45 weight distribution
4.56's
30x14.50 tire
TH400 gearing

1-2 = 6,500 rpm
2-3 = 6,200 rpm
4,000 converter
