Nice graphics there Greg! I envisioned the same tool but don't have the computer skills to whip up something like that on my $40 phone.
I'd like to add a modification to your idea by making the main shaft out of hex stock (like a big Allen wrench). Could stick a socket on the end & hit it w/ an impact. Should come right off.
It's AMAZING what an oil change can turn into!!
