The new Champion radiator showed up today, and was installed in reasonably short order. I was surprised to recognize it was completely polished, something I actually applaud. The only issue I had was the drain petcock being on the front side of the radiator on the driver’s side. It interfered with the horns, so I sealed it with a plug. Should I need to drain it sometime in the future I’ll simply remove the lower hose:
Driving over to Walmart tonight, the engine never climbed over 180, with the ambient being 85. This is something the radiator has not done in many years.
