Yes your carb has been changed to an automatic choke type.
Originally it would have been a manual choke type.
The choke/switch is stock. It’s just a cable connection to your carb.
You need some more parts on your intake and carb to make that carb work correctly.
You can adapt a manual choke kit to that carb or if total originality is needed you’ll need to find a correct carb.
