Yes but i have to also put a washer to the front side as well unless i glue that washer to the back of the panel? As nothing will keep it being pushed back?

Actually i thought using my old switch but could not clamp the new wire in..

Maybe i can get nicer knob, cut the old one and epoxy the new one instead?
