I really didn't go into detail on this. The past couple years, I've geared more toward the autocross route with my truck. I actually haven't entered the truck in a car show in almost two years. Eventually, I'll go 18's so I'll have better tire choices. I want to wait until I can do more to the truck, though before ordering the wheels I really want. I hate to spend the money for custom wheels to fit my current setup, then change parts that require different offsets, then have wheels that don't fit. So, for the time being, I want a tire that's more performance oriented to autocross or grip. That being the case, there's not any tires in the 17" range larger than 26" tall.

If I were just keeping the truck as a cruiser/show truck, I'd go with the Nitto NT450. It's hard to beat that size on these trucks. They're just the kind of tires I want for what I intend to do with the truck.
