Post 121, covers it best, on my thread. You can also see the portion of the bracket that you are holding in your hand. Once you remove the rocker, and lower B post you will be at the step up portion and that should allow you to start the rebuild...

The pic. of the part with the 1" hole in it is not available, but Wes at Classic Heartbeat was working on one. You can call him and see how soon one will be available

I can see what appears to be rust thru above the rocker in your pic, so be prepared to go aleast that high on your cut

Keep the bracket as a template
