Re: 1962 stepside project by realvc

The rear brakes have been a real poser. Finally figured out the the emergency/park brake cables were rusted and not releasing causing the brakes to lock up on right side and to be very tight on the left even with the adjusters backed all the way off. Disconnected the cable system for now.

The battery was dead because I had left the battery cables connected and a hot wire was grounded out so the road goes on forever and the party never ends.

Took care of the grounded wire, charged the battery got it started.
I unstuck the seat tracks and installed a new choke cable while the battery was charging.

Got the oil bath air cleaner apart and cleaned up some.
Picked up and cleaned up some of my mess so I could shut down for the night.

I have a leak at my right rear wheel cylinder now from taking it off and putting it back on the last time I must have cross threaded the line. Fun, Fun, Fun.
