My comment for that is probably yes : 16.5 was the 3/4-1 ton rim.
I, myself, have never looked into that thought.
I just checked my VIN label on my 1973 C/20 right now.
The Tire/Rim option on my truck from the factory is showing 9.50/16.5-8 on all 4.
It may be because it was ordered as a Camper Special.
In 1972 & back, they should be all 16.5.
Correct me if I am wrong please!
