the soda blasting is not a bad thing, it just isn't always done correctly, One has to completely flood the work after blasting, neutralize with vinegar, flood again, but it is too expensive a media to use in small sandblast units, I just walnut shell blasted my 66 gmc, it took 5 hours and 12 bags of walnut hulls, sure beat the heck out of sanding , grinding, chemical stripping, etc.
here is a link: ps the walnut shells cost .27 cents per lb and we used 600 lbs, wish I would have known they are reusable we would have cut this amt in half. It really does a good job.........The trick is 150 to 185 CFM 60 to
90psi.
