Is that brake fluid all over it and was it like that when you popped the drum? Also adjusters come in drivers and passengers side. They thread in opposite directions. After all these years, who knows they could be both the same. Edit: having drums turned always improves braking when you remove the "mirror finish" As a bonus your e-brake will stop you better in an emergency. These are the rear brakes.... do it once first class and it'll last a long time. Way longer than fronts do.
