I would look at a better shock absorber.
KYB or Bilstein are my favorites.

The KYB gas adjusts I used on a "bouncy" 68 elCamino with new springs, and after putting them in it was a night and day difference.

The Bilstein 5100 series is what I have in my 1970 K10 with leafs, they replaced Rancho shocks and again a night and day difference.
