Re: A quick look at the Hickey worm gear winch
That picture is my truck, same truck/winch just not taken apart, cleaned and rebuilt. It's just a skid plate, mounts at bottom of fairlead, rolls under the winch and goes back to the rear winch cross bracket.
Bad picture (currently looking for another I have) but it's the gray plate at the top left...
