Boxer957 - are you sure your wheels are 9" wide? That is not a common width. Are you measuring from lip edge to lip edge or between the inside of the lips? You must measure from inside the lips to determine wheel width. Many people incorrectly measure the outside to outside. Just making sure since 8" or even 8.5" is way more common than 9" wide.
Here is my old '65 with 235/70-15 front and 255/70-15 rear. 15x7 front, 15x8.5 rear. 3" drop front, not sure on rear but about 5".
