I absolutely hate when somebody tries to goad me into the Ford VS Chevy argument... It's pointless, and nobody will win, it all comes down to personal experience.
although i will say...
The thing that keeps me driving chevy's (although i was raised in a ford family), is the abundance of aftermarket and replacement parts, which keeps the prices down, and all this is due to the fact that most parts are practically universal since the SBC was pretty much unchanged from the late 50's till the late 80's.
