I may start whacking on the vent today, after ordering the speakers. I'll also be doing the fascia on the bottom of the dash. The frame for the surround behind the seats is done, and the seats are in place.

I just have to keep my truck from looking like a bronze '55 version of yours! (which wouldn't be a bad thing, actually.) Oh well, you know what they say about imitation. You've really solved a lot of the problems I've had (at least the ones on the truck ), including where to put the door latch solenoid. (The console, however, will be very different because my seats are only 5" apart, and I'm only 5'9".)

I feel the same way about shows. In the '80s I won my pile of trophies with my '55 sedan, but those days are done. Me and the lawn chair don't get along either.
