A common upgrade of our head light wiring. The factory wiring is the minimum size usable for the OEM headlamps and it will limit the output of the lights due to voltage drop. Installing a larger guage supply wire to the lights solves the problem. Then you use relays to control the new power feed to the lights. There are literally dozens of write ups on how to do this. Not to mention plug and play kits you can buy. I have done it to my Burban as my new H4 bulbs draw more power than the dimmer switch will handle.
That and having good ground connections will do wonders for even stock bulbs.
