Those 6,s really respond to the addition of speed equiptment. Ive got a 66 GMC with a 250 & powerglide auto. The 250 is bored .040 and has a Offenhauser 4 BBl intake & valve cover - Heddman Hedders and a RV cam. It originally had a 390 cfm 4 bbl. However I adapted a Rochester 2 bbl from a 283. because the holley gaskets shrunk after sitting idle. the 2 bbl seems to run just as fast.
