When I went EFI on my 74 I kept both dual tanks. Used 87 EFI tanks and senders with fuel injected rated rubber line and a EFI switch valve. If I only did one tank I would have kept the passenger side to even put the weight in my truck since I usually ride alone. Both no reason not to do dual tanks except to save money.
