Re: Our new shop - AKA Barnasaurus

earl84 -

The building was my plan (about ten years of dreaming/thinking/drawing/planning). The plans were taken to Mueller metal buildings where they were redrawn using CAD software and engineering approved for wind and snow loads. We are doing some of the work ourselves to save money but I still am relying on my contractor to perform the majority of the work. I'm too old and fat to do this all on my own. I built my own home 20 years ago and I know my limitations...lol.

The spray in foam insulation will work with any kind of structure and I'm hoping it will be a good investment because it is not cheap. I would do some research between the pole vs. steel construction because there is no way to know which would be less expensive especially in Colorado. As you are well aware, steel construction is very popular here in Texas and that was my first choice because this is how my home is constructed too.

Hope this helps and good luck with your move to the high country.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.
