working on the hood gaps

as you can see the aftermarket front fenders gaps are not even close to the originals... even though the originals are not the greatest either....so lets see what we can do bout getting them up to todays standards


about 1/2" gap here


and here you can see how they raise more than they should


and now the gap is where it should be. as you can see I split the fender , pushed the gap where they should be, I also had to split the side flange where the hood sits down in the fender to bring down the hieght... finish tacking it up, a bit more grinding down the welds , some hammer and dolly... and one less thing to cross off the to do list
