I oiled everything up. i didn't really understand how the mechanism is supposed to work. the tailgate closes well and locks, the hatch locks into place just fine. the button releases the hatch and then the tailgate just fine. the adjustment screw is about a 1/4 inch from touching the hatch latch, the key doesn't turn in the cylinder, it slides in but does't turn. I appreciate you helping me through this.
