I set ride at 3" on shocks so effectively 6" stroke. The movement is less than stock. The stock 62 bar is just in front of the crossmember and all the way out by trailing arm, enough to contact frame I know the 63-72 were short and my rear is a 72 with built in mount. I would say at a 4ft bar it moves 1/16 to 1/8 inches. Need sway bar to help side load and roll center.
You want the bar as long as possible and parallel to the ground.
