Painted my dash cluster and improved illumination. I used white paint for the back of the aluminium bezel and inside the cluster housing and red on the front of the bezel. The speedo face was a pain to mask off since the needle didn't pop off for me.
My wife was really impressed with my skills until i told her the lettering was all still the original! I added a reflector inside around the speedo so the light bounces to the front better.
One of these days i'll get the LED replacement bulbs for the lights
The PO has butchered the cluster before i got it so i'm not ruining an original
