Engine works are my favorite because it's always so easy .
You might want to show better pix of the ' wiped ' bearing shells clearly showing the bare copper underlay ~ .
I see this all the time and occasionally the crankshaft is O.K. and can be carefully polished with crocus cloth and re used , not this one I don't think

Never forget that ALL self service Junkyards are chock full of standard 350 cranks , cheaply .
I may soon have an extra good used 292 crankshaft , I now have two 292's and will cherry pick parts to build up one nice one for my '69 C/10 , then I'll be clearing out lots of spare 292 stuff, a bare block that needs sleeves , a spare cylinder head , connecting rods and so on .

GREEN with envy looking at the cab repairs here ! I went and visited my truck again , still no work done .
I know , I know , patience is a virtue but dammit , I DRIVE my truck daily so three weeks + is too long for no worky
