After that it was just a case of working the panel to improve the fit and then tack, grind - repeat,

When doing this kind of job it's easy to get weld spatter in the hinge threads and to weld up the hinge plate so it doesn't move (not good when it comes to fitting the door) take your time and put a couple of old bolts in the threads if you have them

I got the spot welds from the pillar to the footwell done too,

there's still some finishing off to do on the welds but I'll leave that until I've
done a test fit on the door and outer rocker. This is definitely one of those jobs that take hours and looks like next to nothing when it's finished
