When you put it back together make sure the reverse idler gear is partly engaged (that’s what makes it spin the main shaft backwards ie. reverse) drop the cover on and bolt it up. Your Probably gonna want to seal the cover back up though if you take it off. It really isn’t hard at all. The cover might weight 30 lbs it’s not heavy. Maybe you can post up pictures of where it chipped?
