A buddy of mine has a small sand blaster and blasted it smooth for me to get all the stains off and grime. Came out smooth. I taped it off with gorilla tape and it help up to it. Then a coat of high temp primer and high temp aluminum color. Looks dang good. To me anyway.
First pic is after the sand blasting which was a night and day change from all the dark stains in the aluminum. Second is after a coat of the high temp paint. It looks way better in person. My goal was to only prolong the staining and grime that builds up on the rough texture.
