Not too much to report, I am in the works in lining up my floor replacement, but in the mean time I was able to locate a hatch that is 10000% nicer than the one I had. I had to pay dearly for it but I am very happy to have a hatch that actually can open and hold itself up!
As a bonus, it was also a original white top with black on the outside, to match my top that had a backyard paint job in a past life...
It does have a vintage wiper motor on it that I may or may not ditch, but overall its pretty good for being 40+ years old...
