Looks like this is the "hot air" style choke that I'm used to from my 77 K10 with a Q-Jet. Hmmm, I will have to see if the manifold has any provisions for the spring and housing that this style should have like in this link.

I'd just fabricate a bracket that will hold the cable in place so you can open and close the choke. Did that with my 66 when I put a 2 barrel on my 292. Didn't look perrty but hey it worked. lol
