This may be from out in left field, but what condition are your rear-end differential and wheel bearings in?
I've had the axel seals go bad and leak 90 weight differential on the drums and shoes. Gets really sticky and can sieze up an axel by the drum.
Besides all the PM on brake systems -- cylinders, master, springs, drums, drum width, shoe integrity, line integrity, adjustments, etc. All good advice...
A look at the rear-end can't hurt.
